MILFORD, PA – There will be a one-hour architecture tour at Grey Towers National Historic Site on Sunday, August 26 at 1 p.m.

The tour will focus on the unique architectural details of the mansion, built by James Pinchot in 1886. The French-chateauesque stone mansion features more than 40 rooms and three distinctive turrets, or towers, like the Northeast Tower shown here, and served as the home of Gov. Gifford Pinchot. Participants will learn about many of the distinctive features of the mansion, including what the Milford estate and the iconic Statue of Liberty have in common.

Regular tour fees apply. Wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather as this program is held outdoors rain or shine.

Grey Towers, ancestral home of the Pinchot family, has a long-standing tradition of welcoming the public to the estate. It is now managed by the U.S. Forest Service with numerous partners. Visit www.greytowers.org or call 570/296-9630.
