LAKE ARIEL, PA — Join the Delaware Highlands Conservancy and Lacawac Sanctuary for a Moonlight Paddle on Lake Lacawac, located at the Sanctuary on Friday, August 3 at 7 p.m.
Rowboats and canoes, paddles and life jackets will be provided. Due to the delicate balance of Lake Lacawac’s ecosystem, only the sanctuary boats are permitted on the lake.
The 52-acre Lake Lacawac is a National Natural Landmark. It is the southernmost glacial lake in the hemisphere that has been preserved in pristine condition, totally free from development or encroachment, making it an ideal research facility.
The program is free, but reservations are required. Email joann@lacawac.org or call 570/689-9494.
