Foodstock raises funds for WJFF

April 26, 2012

CALLICOON, NY — WJFF 90.5 Radio Catskill, not-for-profit community radio in Jeffersonville, will host its 3rd annual “FOODSTOCK,” a festival of fine local foods and wines, on Saturday, May 5 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will take place at the Villa Roma Resort’s Tennis Building.

There will be over 55 different purveyors from all across the region. Farmers, producers and growers will be represented, as well as local restaurants, wineries and distributors. Each will offer a representative sample of its product for attendees to taste. All products will be available for purchase. Restaurants will offer a taste of their signature dish.

“There will be fresh produce of all kinds, baked goods, jams and preserves, meats and fish, maple products, desserts, gelato, yogurts, sauces and pestos, ethnic foods, many, many cheeses and an array of locally-produced wines and craft ales,” said station manager Winston Clark.

A complete list of vendors for Foodstock is available at www.wjffradio.org. Tickets in advance, at $20 with wine and $15 without, are available by calling 845/482-4141.
