HONESDALE, PA — The Wayne County Arts Alliance (WCAA) and the Wayne County Public Library (WCPL) will celebrate the grand re-opening at their new office and classroom space at 812 Main St., in the Jason Torrey Land Office on Friday, March 2 at 9:30 a.m. WCPL’s Executive DirectorTamara Murray, said, “During tough economic times, non-profits need creative strategies to support programs, personnel and events. Collaboration is a paradigm shift, a new way of thinking and relating to resources, values and expertise that encourages individual sustainability and shared success.”

The first course held at the new ground-floor Main St. facility will be “The Secret Lives of Plastic Bags,” the first of a new series of eco-friendly craft classes, on Saturday, March 3. On Saturday, March 10 the classroom will offer “Travel with Watercolor”, a workshop where participants learn about using pocket-sized watercolor sets that allow them to take their painting along with them. Start times, registration fees, and WCAA member discounts vary per class, so visit or contact the arts alliance for details. Email wcaa@WayneCountyArtsAlliance.org or call 570/390-4420.
