NARROWSBURG, NY — The Tusten Historical Society will sponsor a bus trip to the Tenement Museum in NYC on April 11. The museum is located at 97 Orchard Street in the heart of the lower East Side. Learn about our immigrant ancestors and how they lived in an authentic 19th-century tenement building. A morning tour is planned and there will also be several hours to tour the historic neighborhood and shop in the famous Orchard Street discount stores. The trip has been planned to occur during spring break so that students will be able to participate.

The bus will leave at 6 a.m. from the Narrowsburg library parking lot on Bridge Street. A stop is also planned in Monticello at 6:25 a.m. It will return approximately at 10 p.m.

The cost for bus and tour for adults is $35, ($30 for THS members) and $20 for children eight to 18. The tour is not handicap accessible, and reservations are non-refundable.

For more information call Jerry Yarvarovsky at 845/932-8210 for more information. Yarvarovsky grew up in the Orchard Street area and knows it well. For reservations make check payable to Tusten Historical Society, 198 Bridge St. PO Box 18, Narrowsburg, NY 12764.
