Fundraiser for ‘Journeys’ kicks off

February 16, 2012

MILFORD, PA — A program has been initiated to raise non-investor funds for “Journeys,” an independent feature currently in development and slated to shoot in Milford in September 2012.
“Journeys,” a screenplay penned by Olive Gallagher, is based on a true story about Gallagher’s father, the late Sidney L. Krawitz, a highly respected attorney and past president of the Pennsylvania Bar Association (see www.riverreporteronline.com/feature/16/2011/11/01/%E2%80%98journeys%E2%8...). The program allows donors to give whatever amount and receive a full tax deduction for that amount during the development stage, before equity investors come on board the production.

Checks should be made out to “IFP Fiscal Sponsorship” with “Journeys” in the memo field, and mailed to IFP Fiscal Sponsorship – Donations, 68 Jay St., Suite 425, Brooklyn, NY 11201. Credit card donations can be made at https://market.ifp.org/newyork/fiscal/DonateNow.cfm?ProjectID=527. Every contributor’s name, regardless of the amount donated, will appear in the end credits of the film.
