Button collecting workshop held at Cornell

LIBERTY, NY — The “4-H Connects Kids to Cornell” meeting on Friday, November 11 invites the public, featuring a presentation by Beverly Hesse on what is involved in researching, appraising and showing collections. She will share examples from her state and national award-winning button collection. On display will be one-of-a-kind designs as well as production buttons dating from 1851 to contemporary times. A hands-on activity led by Sandy Cockshutte will show participants how to make their own unique buttons at home.
