HAWLEY, PA — The Second Annual Wally Lake Fest event will be held on Saturday, August 27 and Sunday, August 28. There are several events that require advanced registration for participants.

The 2011 Wally Lake Fest Boat Parade is sponsored by Davis R. Chant Realtors and takes place on Lake Wallenpaupack on August 27 at 4 p.m. Participants decorate their boats, and winners for first, second and third places will be awarded with trophies and prizes. The Tour de Towpath takes place at the Lake Wallenpaupack Visitors Center on August 28 at 10 a.m. It is a bike ride that starts at the Lake Wallenpaupack Visitors Center and heads down to the Lackawaxen River. A shuttle service will be provided for a one-way trip. The pricing for a bike rental and shuttle is $35 per person and shuttle only is $10 per person. Free sailboat rides are offered at Lighthouse Harbor Marina on August 27 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Paupack Sailing Club and the Pocono School of Sailing. To register call 570/226-2141.
