LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY — Split Britches will perform “Lost Lounge” at the Catskill Art Society (CAS) Arts Center, 48 Main Street on Saturday, July 30 at 7:30 p.m.

Live in the city long enough and you’ll inevitably lose something irreplaceable—a favorite dive bar, a beloved park. In “Lost Lounge,” Peggy Shaw and Lois Weaver mourn these vanished Gothams while celebrating survival. Recreating their favorite lounge acts and comedy duos, they consider what it means to miss something and contemplate, “who are we?” when the very geography we remember is no longer around to orient us.

This production is a continuation of Weaver and Shaw’s 30-year partnership and their collaboration with choreographer Stormy Brandenberger and composer and sound designer Vivien Stoll, who accompanies the performance.

Admission costs $10 for CAS members and $12 for non-members. Seating will be first-come, first-served with doors opening at 7 p.m. Catskill Art Society is a non-profit cultivating public interest, participation and enjoyment of the arts. Through its multi-arts center, CAS explores contemporary art practices and facilitates creative and professional development for established and emerging artists.
