KAUNEONGA LAKE, NY — The Liberty Free Theatre continues its Rent Money Readings series on Thursday, July 14 with three daring comedies by Shel Silverstein, starting at 7 p.m. at the Beekman House Pavilion across from the Fat Lady Cafe in Kauneonga Lake.

Shel Silverstein is famous for his children’s stories such as “Where the Sidewalk Ends.” But he was equally well-known and justly praised as an essayist, playwright and illustrator. Many consider him to be in the top rank of American humorists alongside Mark Twain and Will Rogers.

The Fat Lady Cafe will provide complimentary hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar after the performance.

The reading series is a fundraiser to help the Liberty Free Theatre to help defray the rent on their home base in Liberty. A donation of $15 per person is suggested. Call 845/292-3788.
