NARROWSBURG, NY — An exhibit of paintings by local primitive artist Cheryl Korb is on display at The River Gallery – The Art of Living from now to August 20.
A self-taught artist from Northeastern Pennsylvania, Korb still lives on the farm where she was born. After raising a family of three children, she had time to pursue her dream, which was to make paintings inspired by Grandma Moses. Throughout these finely sketched works are people doing their chores, waving hello, sitting for a picnic, flying a kite, riding a bike.
The gallery is located at 8 Main St. Gallery hours are Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visit www.rivergalleryny.com or call 845/252-3238.
