NARROWSBURG, NY — The Narrowsburg Chamber of Commerce and Gemini International will present The Shirelles, the 1960s vocal group famous for “Soldier Boy” and “Mama Said,” among many other hits, at a 1950s-style Sock Hop on Saturday, July 2 at 7 p.m., at the former Narrowsburg Central School on Erie Street.
The Shirelles’ appearance at the Sock Hop is a special event of “Narrowsburg Celebrates America,” a three-day festival which will be held from Saturday, July 2 through Monday, July 4 throughout Narrowsburg. Visit www.narrowsburg.org or call 845/252-7234.
