LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY — After sitting idle for a number of years, plans are in place to re-open the Livingston Manor information caboose on weekends from Memorial Day until Columbus Day. The caboose greets people coming off and getting on Route 17 at exit 96. Inside will be fliers, pamphlets, maps and other information to help visitors to the region find things to do and see in the area. Information is needed to show visitors the history of when the caboose was placed on the site. If you have pictures or letters of the event or if you know of the people who helped with putting the caboose on site, call the above number. Any original pictures and letters will be returned after copies are made.
