WOODBOURNE, NY — The Sullivan County Community Chorus will present its annual spring concert on Sunday, June 5 at 3 p.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 6317 Route 42, with a Triple Crown theme. The chorus will move from “Halter Breaking” to “Ground Exercises” and “Learning the Gaits and Responding to Commands” to a “Cool Down” and “Taking It Easy.”

Under the direction of conductors Kevin Giroux and Adam Barley, the eclectic program will also include the Faure Requiem and “How Lovely Is Thy Dwelling Place” from the Brahms Requiem. A mix of American spirituals, folk tunes and pieces inspired by sacred texts “complete the field.” The chorus will be accompanied by organ and piano, as well as a chamber orchestra of violins, violi, celli, harp, flute, oboe, French horns and bass. Admission costs $15 for adults and $12 for seniors and students. Call 845/794-7869.
