SCRANTON, PA — The second annual Arts on Fire will be held on Saturday, June 4 at the historic iron furnaces in Scranton. The event will feature an all-day iron pour, fine craft vendors, food, live music, historical displays and tours of the furnaces. Events will start at 11 a.m. and continue to 6 p.m.

Arts on Fire is free and open to the public thanks to the support of local funders, including Arts ENGAGE! Keystone Iron Works Grant, Lackawanna County, LHVA, Keystone College, General Dynamics, RJ Walker, PennStar, St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, IBEW and Penn Security Bank.

The mission of the Scranton Iron Furnaces is to interpret for citizens and visitors the site of the first mass production of iron T-rail in the United States, and to preserve the remains of the Lackawanna Iron and Coal Company, which spurred the nation’s industrial revolution through the use of anthracite
