ARTery gains four new artists

MILFORD, PA — Four new artists have joined the ARTery Gallery. Dana Drake, of Milford PA, has been creating both functional and decorative ceramic pieces in her home studio for the past seven years. Her interest in Tibetan Buddhism can often be seen in her clay vessels. Although she prefers her potters wheel, she also creates distinctive hand carved ceramic tiles. Alex Cena, also of Milford, has had a camera in his hand since elementary school and became a full-time photographer almost 10 years ago. His lifestyle images and portraits appear on the cover and on the inside of local and national publications. Linda Barboni, of Goshen, NY, has painted all her life. Her watercolor paintings employ a “wet-in-wet” technique, and she has lately added chalk pastels to her toolbox, worked onto the watercolor surface and giving a sense of luminosity. Photographer Karen Kruger lived in Germany while in college, taking along a 35mm camera to record her travels and experiences. From then on, travel and photography have been paired in her vocabulary and she has pursued both with passion.
