Parading down Main Street

NARROWSBURG, NY — Small town living was at its best on Saturday, October 28 at the Tusten Youth Commission’s Halloween Parade. Participants gathered at Narrowsburg Feed and Grain and paraded down Main Street on their way to a dance party at the town hall.

No heat for meat

Internal bacteria rapidly takes over after death, expelling gases and causing the animal to bloat. That’s the first step in decomposition. This process is accelerated in warm weather. Learn how to field dress a deer, and get to it ASAP. Removing those organs is the first step in cooling the animal down.

'Incredible India' at Roots Yoga

HAWLEY, PA — Roots Yoga, 233 Main Ave., will host a photography exhibit titled “Incredible India” from Friday, November 3 through Saturday, November 7. There will be an opening reception on November 3 from 6 to 8 p.m., featuring photography by Laurie A. Guzda. The exhibit runs through November 11.

'Sculpture in the Garden'

SHOHOLA, PA — “Sculpture in the Garden,” an event and exhibit at the Artists’ Market Community Center, will celebrate grown-ups that never fully grew out of that Play-Doh phase of their lives when just about all children are sculptors. The exhibit will open on Saturday, November 4 with a reception from 4 to 6 p.m.

‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’

HONESDALE, PA — Celebrate the 80th anniversary of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at The Cooperage on Saturday, November 4 at 3 p.m. This movie screening is for kids of all ages and fun for the whole family, with some activities for the kids to participate in before and after the film. Doors open at 2:30 p.m.

BEACH LAKE, PA — Next year will be the 50th anniversary of the passage of the Wild & Scenic Rivers Act, honoring and preserving the nation’s free-flowing rivers.  The Upper Delaware begins this celebration with the unveiling of the Upper Delaware Virtual Tour and the National Park Service’s (NPS) online museum.
