CALLICOON, NY — Yarnslingers (people who tell fantastic stories) are gathering for a reading of short true stories (by the authors themselves) on Sunday, January 28, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Café Adella Dori on Lower Main Street.
SHOHOLA, PA — The Barryville Area Arts Association (BAAA) will sponsor an exhibit for Black History Month that includes the work of contemporary artists, as well as an exhibit of prints tracing the history of black American art through slavery into the civil rights movement. There will be a reception on February 3 from 4 to 6 p.m.
LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY — Catskill Art Society will present “spice cobra scrambles,” an exhibition of work by Brooklyn-based artist Mark Cannariato, at the CAS Art Center at 48 Main St., starting on Saturday, February 3. The exhibition will be on view through March 17. There will be an artist’s talk on February 3 at 1 p.m.
