MIDDLETOWN, NY — A number of local artists currently have artwork on display at the 2018 Northeast Watercolor Show (NEWS) Member Show. It is taking place at Orange Hall of SUNY Orange County Community College, located at 24 Grandview Ave. Altogether, the work of about 100 watercolor artists will be on display, including that of NEWS president Richard Price (Hancock); Kate Hyden and Valerie Taggart (Livingston Manor); and Ann Higgins and Elise Hornbeck (Grahamsville). The exhibit, now underway, will have a special reception on March 3 at 1 to 4:15 p.m., with music, refreshments and a demonstration by Judith Hummer at 2:30 p.m.
Regular gallery hours are Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
