From John Fogerty to Ringo Starr to RiverFolk

HONESDALE, PA — The off-the-charts keyboards player and songwriter Bob Malone returns to RiverFolk Concerts on Sunday, February 11 at, 4 p.m. at The Cooperage. He will be joined by Australian pianist and songwriter Trysette.

Malone is classically trained, with a degree in jazz and a sound that’s a hybrid of rock, blues and New Orleans R&B. Keyboard Magazine described Malone’s music as “pulsating, roaring keyboard work that grabs you and shakes you until you cry for mercy.” Malone has been headlining all over the world as part of Rock & Roll Hall of Famer John Fogerty’s red-hot band since 2011. He’s laid down tracks with the legendary Bob Seger, shared the stage with everyone from Jimmy Buffett to Jackson Browne to Springsteen—and he just spent a magical studio session with Ringo Starr playing on the reboot of the track “Back Off Boogaloo” for Starr’s new album “Give More Love.”

Trysette and the majority of her eight siblings undertook classical piano training, which meant there was little or no exposure in the home to popular music. She found an escape in the songs she heard on the school bus radio each day. Now, with seven albums to her name, Trysette decided to record a full album of covers in 2016 named “Shadowgirl.” Pieter Van Wessem of Sounds Australia wrote, “Trysette has a sound that’s all her own. She has a great voice, she writes thoughtful lyrics and classically trained, plays a mean piano.”

To reserve your seat call RiverFolk Concerts at 845/252-6783 or email riverfolkconcerts@frontier.com. The suggested donation is $20/reserved, $25 at the door. Food will be available for purchase from 3:30 p.m. For more information visit riverfolkconcerts.com or bobmalone.com.
