NARROWSBURG, NY — The Delaware Valley Arts Alliance will host the 13th annual Art in Sixes small works exhibition from November 18 to December 23, opening with a reception on Saturday, November 18  from 2 to 4 p.m. In what has become a signature year-end event for the DVAA, the show features over 500 miniature artworks by local artists.

The first “Art in Sixes” exhibit launched in 2005 with 98 works of art. In 2016, it had grown to 528 pieces hung on seven walls and the front window.

The artwork, which may not exceed six inches in any direction, covers a wide range of studio mediums including painting, drawing, sculpture, fiber, ceramics and photography. All the pieces are for sale and priced for holiday gift giving, generally in the range of $25 to $900.

Although the work does not have to be exactly six by six inches, more artists each year are going with the six-inch square format. Having many square works of the same size allows gallery director Rocky Pinciotti to create a gridwork pattern that can feature up to 100 works of art evenly displayed in rows and columns.
