Rape suspect killed near Rio Reservoir

A rape suspect who police had been searching for on October 10, was shot to death on October 11th by a neighbor on Old Plank Road at a cabin where the suspect was staying.

Norris Acosta-Sanchez, 35, had been on the run from police in Ramapo since July when he was accused of raping an under-aged girl. He was not using a cell phone and had changed his appearance, but police in Deerpark found him living in the cabin on Plank Road.  Read more

State Police Investigate Death of Woman at Kutsher's Resort

On October 11, 2013 at approximately 12:15am, State Police at Liberty were called to the Kutsher's Resort Hotel in the Town of Thompson for a report of a woman who had fallen from the roof of one of the hotel buildings.  Read more
