Eggs thrown in Honesdale
In the month of December 2012 Honesdale Police officers investigated numerous incidents, in various locations throughout the borough, where eggs had been thrown at parked vehicles. Anyone with information is urged to contact the police department at 570-253-1900.
Women's Club of Honesdale meeting
Women's Club of Honesdale first meeting of 2013 at the Chamber of Commerce Visitor's Center, 1:30pm. The speaker will be Greg Little, Editor of the Wayne Independent, speaking on "Publishing the Wayne Independent." Refreshments will be served and anyone interested is invited to attend. Amanda Reed
Amanda Reed is the Production Manager. Growing up in the darkroom and production room of The News Eagle gave her a feel for art and design at an early age. Eight years of newspaper design experience in multiple local publications give her designs a hometown feeling. An avid photographer, Amanda can almost always be caught with a camera in hand. When she’s not busy working, she can be found coaching girls softball, being a horse show mom, hanging out with her daughters and racing r/c cars.
Breann Cochran
Breann Cochran is the Assistant to the Publisher of The River Reporter. Originally from California, Breann moved to NYC where she worked in digital marketing for four years. Her most recent experience includes email marketing for a luxury retailer. She brings a passion for the outdoors, love of cooking and desire to live in a rural setting to Sullivan County where she and her fiancé are renovating their 1926 farmhouse.
Rouis calls for change of government; opposition calls for separate legal representation
At a news conference at the government center on January 3, Legislator Jonathan Rouis, the former chairman of the legislature, called for the establishment of a charter revision committee to study the notion of changing the county government to one that would have a county executive as is the case in Orange and Ulster counties.
