Two young Monticello men sentenced in burglary case
District Attorney Jim Farrell announced today that Aniebal Santiago, 19, and Joseph Strong, 18, both of Monticello were sentenced in Sullivan County Court to state prison sentences for their convictions for burglary in the second degree. Read more

Honesdale man arrested for buying jewelry with bad checks
On 12-06-2012, the Honesdale Borough Police Department obtained an arrest warrant for Jason L. GINNETTO 29 years of age from the Honesdale area. The warrant was for a charge of Theft By Deception, graded as a Felony of the 3rd degree, and several counts of Bad Checks graded as Misdemeanors. Read more
Liberty men arrested for selling heroin
Two men from Liberty have been arrested in connection with an ongoing investigation into the sale of heroin in Sullivan County. Anthony Aubain, 24, of Yaun Avenue and Linval Pringle, 25, of Lincoln Place were taken into custody shortly before 4:00 p.m. on December 10 on Sullivan Avenue in Liberty. Read more
