Wurtsboro Man Sentenced to 17 years for Sexual Assault of Children

District Attorney Jim Farrell announced today that Herbert Ploschke, 68, of Wurtsboro, N.Y. was sentenced in Sullivan County Court to a total of 17 years in state prison and 10 years of post release supervision for the rape and sexual abuse of two minor girls by County Judge Michael McGuire.  Read more

Jane Bollinger

Jane Bollinger is Managing Editor having come out of early retirement to return to journalism at The River Reporter. Her previous newspaper experience includes working as a reporter at two Pennsylvania papers—The Quakertown Free Press (1970s) and The Scranton Times (1990s). In between, she worked as a local television news producer in Kansas City, MO and St. Petersburg, FL and then in New York City for WNBC local news before moving on to ABC News. She worked at Good Morning America for 14 years, starting as a writer/producer and ending her time there as managing editor and head writer.  Read more
