HARRISBURG, PA — A Pennsylvania court has sustained four counts in the suit against the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania challenging the constitutionality of Act 13, a law that would supersede local municipalities’ abilities to zone oil and gas drilling operations, among other provisions.
Petitioners have been granted summary relief on Counts I, II, III and VIII of their suit.These court actions have the effect of invalidating the portions of the law pertaining to statewide zoning standards.
The Commonwealth’s objections to the other counts have been sustained. Read more

Wednesday evening, July 18, I played the part of a fishing buddy for young Arnon Goldberg. Arnon is trying to master the mysteries of fly fishing while attending the Trout Unlimited “Fish Camp.” As is the case with all beginners, it will take a while. HONESDALE, PA — More than 200 Chihuahuas removed from the home of Albert and Thomas Ambrosia on Ridge Road in Jackson Township, Columbia County, PA on July 19 are being transported to shelters across the state in order to find new homes for the small dogs. Twelve of the dogs are now at Dessin Animal Shelter being cleaned up and cared for in preparation for adoption. Read more
