NARROWSBURG, NY — Perennial favorite Ray McNiece, from Cleveland, OH will return to First Fridays Contemporary Author Series in Narrowsburg, along with Doug Rogers from Long Eddy.
The First Fridays series is held at the Western Sullivan Public Library in the Narrowsburg Branch. There is an open mic sign-up, limited to 10 readers, at 7 p.m., followed by the open mic, hosted by Corinna Vaca-Moran, and visiting authors at 8 p.m.
Earlier in the day, McNiece will participate in the Summer Reading Program for kids at the Delaware Youth Center in Callicoon, at 12 noon.
MONTICELLO, NY — United Way of Sullivan County will join with Holiday Mountain Fun Park to offer fun-seekers an evening of games and attractions on Tuesday, July 10, from 5 to 8 p.m. Participants can enjoy go-kart rides, bumper boats, bumper cars, rock wall climbing, potato sack slide, mini-golf, bungy trampoline and Spider Mountain for $19.95. LIBERTY, NY — On Friday, July 6 and Saturday, July 7 at 7 p.m. the Liberty Free Theatre will present the world premiere reading of Paul Austin’s new comedy, “The Harvey White Chronicles.” The reading will take place at the Liberty Museum and Arts Center as a prologue to the museum’s official celebration of its 15th anniversary on July 28. The play is a series of five inter-related one-acts (much like a collection of short stories) that chronicle the ups and downs of a young man as he tries to live, love and work—when possible—in today’s America. FORESTBURGH, NY — Paul Ciliberto, host of the morning Thunder 102 radio show Ciliberto & Friends, will appear at all performances of the upcoming “Rocky Horror Show” at the Forestburgh Playhouse. A portion of ticket sales will benefit seven different local charities.
Although fans of the classic rock musical about a sweet transvestite from Transsexual, Transylvania, may be disappointed to learn that Ciliberto will not be appearing in heels and fishnets, in his role as the Narrator he will introduce the signature dance number in the show, “Time Warp.” Read more

Titled “An Exhibition of Convergent Art Forms,” the show will include a variety of art—performance, poetry, photography, drawing, fiber, ceramics, music, video and sculpture—created by a grand collection of artists, presented on dozens of iPads, iPods, LED-HD monitors or projected by miniature projectors. WHITE MILLS, PA — PaPA (Parker and Parker Art), an art and cultural center located four miles west of Hawley at 75 Main St. in White Mills, will open its exhibit “The Sensuous & the Beautiful” on July 14, with an opening reception from 5 to 7 p.m., sponsored by Imperial Brands, Inc.
