Highland man arrested for child pornography
On April 26, 2012 the New York State Police in Highland in conjunction with the Troop “F” Major Crimes Unit arrested James F. Pezzo, age 51, of Highland, NY for “Possession of a Sexual Performance by a Child” a felony. Read more
Man enters house and wakes sleeping woman.
Saturday, April 21, 2012 - A female homeowner on Winterton Road, Bloomingburg, NY found a strange man in her bedroom. The man, who was unknown to her, left the house and was arrested by Troopers as he was walking down Winterton Road.
Joshua Z. Gaines, age 19 of Winterton Rd, Middletown, NY was charged with Criminal Trespass 2nd. He was arraigned in Mamakating court and released to a parent to reappear in court at a later date.
Monticello woman charged with drug possession
Tuesday, April 24, 2012 - Troopers stopped a 2008 Dodge Avenger on Anawana Lake Rd in the Town of Thompson. It was determined that Felicia A. Horace, age 49 of Monticello, NY was driving on a suspended driver license. She also had a glass pipe and a plastic baggie containing crack cocaine. Read more
Speeding man arrested for possession in Thompson
The New York State Police in Wurtsboro, N.Y., announce the arrest of Nicholas Lafond, 19, of Miller Place, N.Y., for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree (Felony), two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree (Misdemeanor), Unlawful Possession of Marihuana (Violation), Possession of Controlled Substances in Non-Original Container (Violation), and Driving While Impaired by Drugs (Misdemeanor). Wursboro woman charged with Leandra's Law offense.
Monday, April 23, 2012 - An alert passerby called 911 to report a vehicle being operated in a hazardous manner. A Trooper from SP Wurtsboro located the vehicle and observed that it was driving in the wrong lane on Sullivan Street, Wurtsboro. The operator, Gina Roberts, age 43 of Wurtsboro, NY was found to be intoxicated. Read more
