During the early morning hours of Saturday January 4th,2012, Village of Liberty Police were called to responded to McCabes Bar, located on South Main Street, for a report of a bar fight in progress. Village Police arrived on scene and stopped a black BMW appearing to be fleeing the scene. Read more

The State Police at Liberty announce the arrest of Gene Baggatta, age 46, of Monticello, NY, for the felony charge of Insurance fraud in the third degree and the felony charge of Falsifying business records in the first degree. Read more
Honesdale man charged with attempted homicide
The Honesdale Borough Police obtained a warrant charging Jesus Martinez-Escobar, age 29, with Criminal Attempt to Commit Homicide, Aggravated Assault,Terroristic Threats and Recklessly Endangering Another Person. Read more
