DOROTHY L. BATCHELOR

Dorothy L. Batchelor of Narrowsburg, NY, a lifelong resident, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Wayne Woodlands Manor, Waymart, PA. She was 89.

The daughter of the late Louis and Lillian Roberts Buddenhagen, she was born December 23, 1922 in Narrowsburg, NY.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Narrowsburg.  Read more

JACQUELINE A. CONNICK

Jacqueline A. Connick, of Smallwood, NY, died on Monday, February 20, 2012 at her home in Smallwood. She was 70.

The daughter of the late John and Henrietta Fedorow Connick, she was born on September 29, 1941 in Astoria, Queens.

Jacqueline was a secretary at Western Electric and a Teacher’s Aide at the Dr. Duggan School in White Lake, NY. She was a member of St. Peter’s Church in Monticello.

She is survived by her goddaughter, Lorraine Hall of Astoria, NY; aunt Marion Hall of NYC; sister Eileen Hynes of New Jersey; and nephew John Hynes.  Read more

Jacqueline A. Connick, of Smallwood, NY, died on Monday, February 20, 2012 at her home in Smallwood. She was 70.

George D. Fedoruk of Glen Spey, NY, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2012 at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital, New York, NY. He was 69.

George was born on October 8, 1942 in the Ukraine, the son of the late Leo and Emilia Bojczyk Fedoruk.  Read more

RUTH HENDRICKSON

Ruth Hendrickson, of Bethel, NY, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at the Achieve Nursing & Rehab Facility in Liberty, NY. She was 86.

The daughter of the late Willard and Vivian Bloom, she was born on August 23, 1925 in Hillside, NY.

Ruth was a member of the White Lake Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary, the Bethel Presbyterian Church and the White Lake Reformed Presbyterian Church.  Read more

RUSSELL U. MAERZ

Russell U. Maerz of Richmond Hill, NY passed away on February 8, 2012. He was 87.

Russell was the longtime scout master of Boy Scouts of America Troops 4 and 28 in Richmond Hill. He also served as scout master during 35 summers at Ten Mile River Scout Camp in Narrowsburg, NY from 1964 to 1999. Boy Scout Troop 28 Fife and Drum Band marched in the Narrowsburg July 4th Parade under Russell’s direction for 20 consecutive years, from 1975 to 1995.  Read more

WARREN ‘BUD’ H. MYERS

Warren “Bud” H. Myers of Kenoza Lake, NY, a lifelong Sullivan County resident, formerly of Jeffersonville, NY, passed away on February 26, 2012 at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY. He was 87.

Bud was born in Kohlertown to Dr. Harvey W. and Hazel Miller Myers on October 11, 1924. He married Iola Schaefer Reum in 1946. Iola predeceased him in April 2006 after 59 years of marriage.  Read more

PATRICIA ANN PARKHURST

Patricia Ann Parkhurst of Dingmans Ferry, PA passed away on Jan. 24, 2012 at Newton Hospital, Newton, NJ. She was 72.

The daughter of Thomas and Frances (Kollbocker) Talmadge, she was born on December 15, 1939 in Franklin. She was married to Corbin Parkhurst.

She was a retired licensed practical nurse at Franklin Hospital, Franklin, NJ, and a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, of Milford.  Read more

JOHN J. THOMAS

John J. Thomas of Glen Spey, NY passed away Monday, February 20, 2012 at the Middletown Park Manor, Middletown, NY. He was 75.

He was born on October 29, 1936 in Bayshore, NY, the son of the late Emil and Bridget Agnes McGevan Thomas.

John served during the Korean War with the U.S. Army. He was a retired transportation supervisor for the U.S. Postal System in New York City. John married Kathleen Fitzpatrick Thomas , who pre-deceased him in 1990.  Read more
