At the pleasantly amicable organizational meeting of the Tusten Town Board on January 3, we noted only one topic that foreshadowed potential conflict: the projected esplanade project. The project would involve building a boardwalk behind the buildings on Main Street, overlooking the river and connecting to the existing memorial park, which would also provide backdoor basement access to Main Street establishments. Honesdale hit and run
The Honesdale Borough Police are investigating a hit and run accident which occurred on 1/3/12 near the intersection of Rt. 191 and Rt. 670 sometime in the evening hours. A vehicle traveling southbound from Rt. 191 near the intersection of 191 and 670 went off the right side of the roadway into the yard at a residence on North Main Street. Read more
