Monticello couple arrested for shoplifting, throwing drill at cop
On Monday December 26th, 2011 Village of Liberty Police arrested Gerson “Loco” Diodonet 31 and Maria Diodonet 36, husband and wife, both of Monticello. Village police were called by employees of the Sears store after they watched Gerson Diodonet stuff over $400 worth cordless drills, sanders, battery charges and hand tools in his jacket and pants. Gift ideas from Pike County Historical Society
MILFORD, PA — The Pike County Historical Society (PCHS) offers a number of gift ideas this season. It currently has several paintings by Joe Splendora on exhibit and available for purchase. Splendora was a local artist who became known for what he dubbed “Splendorascapes.” It also has several books available for purchase that detail the history of Pike County. For music lovers, 2012 Season Passes are available for the society’s Winter Wednesdays music series, which will run on consecutive Wednesday evenings starting on February 22, 2012. Read more
Little Lambs help families in need
PORT JERVIS, NY — The children of St. Mary’s Little Lambs Early Childhood Learning Center in Port Jervis are helping families in need this Christmas. Little Lamb families collected food for St. Mary’s Church to distribute to those in need.
They also participated in Catholic Charities Community Service of Orange County’s “Adopt a Family” program, providing clothes, toys and household items for two families currently dealing with unemployment and substance abuse.
