Pascotto for Texas supervisor

It is with great hope for the future of our area that I support Georgette Pascotto as a candidate for Texas Township supervisor. Georgette is committed to regular participation in township meetings, and strives to accomplish what is beneficial to the majority of township residents and businesses. An example of her work with other community members is the ordinance that regulates what can and cannot be burned in burn barrels; restrictions apply to toxic materials such as plastics, diapers and mattresses for people’s health and well-being.  Read more

Tusten committee recommends drilling ban

Two lawyers spoke at length about the possibilities and risks of passing Article 14, a section of the new proposed zoning code that would prohibit gas drilling and hydraulic fracturing within the Town of Tusten at a meeting of the zoning re-write committee on October 27 at the town hall.  Read more

Pike County library breaks ground, nearly seven years in the making

The new Pike County Public Library is out of the idea stage and into the ground. Municipal officials, board members, friends and maybe some enemies gathered at the site of the new library on East Harford Street and broke the ground for a new building on October 20.  Read more

Eldred enters GLEE competition
