Delaware to consider a sole assessor

As in other towns in Sullivan County, the issues of gas drilling and hydraulic fracturing have been percolating through the local political process in the Town of Bethel for the past couple of years. The 5.8 magnitude earthquake that struck Virginia on August 23 wreaked a bit of damage nearby: the tip of the Washington Monument was cracked. But its vibrations were felt as far away as Detroit and Canada.
