The circus comes to town
The Cole Bros. Circus of the Stars rolled into Monticello in the wee hours Tuesday morning, and it is already on the road again. It will tour the entire eastern seaboard before heading south for the winter.
Jumping at the opportunity to feel like a kid again, I joined a sold-out crowd last night and ran into friends and neighbors from all over the region.

Getting buzzed to battle cancer
HONESDALE, PA — At times, the line stretched out the door, as people awaited their turn to have their hair or beard removed in support of a local fundraiser aimed at battling cancer. The decidedly festive event took place on July 1 at Mick’s Barber Shop in Honesdale and raised more than $6,000 for the Northeast Regional Cancer Institute. Read more
