Sheriff’s Patrol stopped Vincent J. Leone, 30, of Suffern, NY Sunday May 29, 2011 on State Route 17B in the Town of Bethel because the rental vehicle he was driving swerved.
Leone was arrested for Driving While Ability Impaired by drugs and found to be in possession of a large quantity of narcotic pills and several hypodermic needles. Read more

No indication of foul play in men’s death at Esopus Creek
The Esopus Creek South of Fording Place Rd in the Town of Marbletown claimed two lives earlier this week when three men were last seen Monday, May 30th walking across the rapids. The current swept Kenneth Garland age 47 away. Kristopher Quinn, age 38, tried to help Garland but was unsuccessful. The third person, Jeffrey Galloway, age 39 tried to help, but he too was swept away downstream by the current. Quinn was able to make it to shore and run for help. Galloway was found 5/31/11 and Garland today at 11:01AM. Read more
