Wayne County Antique Show

HONESDALE, PA — The Women’s Club of Honesdale will hold its 49th annual Wayne County Antiques Show on Saturday, July 9 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Sunday, July 10 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will be held at the Wayne Highlands Middle School on upper Grove Street.

Over 50 dealers will be displaying their wares including art, jewelry, estate jewelry, coins, silver, cut glass, rugs, fine porcelain, china, lamps and lampshades, Christmas ornaments, furniture, books, quilts and other collectibles. Experts available will include Harry  Read more

Malis read at First Fridays

NARROWSBURG, NY — Taylor Mali and Mari-Elizabeth Mali will be the guests at First Fridays Contemporary Writers Series on Friday, July 1. The open mic starts at 7:30 p.m., with the authors reading at 8 p.m.

Taylor (www.taylormali.com) is an advocate of teachers and the nobility of teaching, having spent nine years in the classroom teaching everything from English and history to math and SAT test preparation. He is the author of two books of poetry, “The Last Time As We Are” (Write Bloody Books 2009) and “What Learning Leaves” (Hanover 2002); and four CDs of spoken word.  Read more

‘Visions’ at Hemlock Farms

LORDS VALLEY, PA — “Visions,” the annual summer group show and sale by artists from Hemlock Farms and friends, opens on Friday, July 1 and runs through August 29. ‘Odd Couple’ at the Rivoli

SOUTH FALLSBURG, NY — The Sullivan County Dramatic Workshop will present Neil Simon’s classic comedy “The Odd Couple” at the Rivoli Theatre on Route 42 for six performances from July 1 through 10.

‘Art on the Edge’

HAWLEY, PA — “Art on the Edge,” an exhibition of 60 regional artists curated by the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance’s Rocky Pinciotti, will be presented by Hawley Silk Mill and the Wayne County Arts Alliance from Saturday, July 2 through September 10. There will be an opening reception on July 2 from 6 to 8 p.m.
The show features sculpture, photography, paintings and mixed media works. Feature artists are Michael Hardesty and Christopher Ries, whose large-scale works will greet patrons upon entering the exhibit.  Read more

Global Groove Quartet at CAS

Summer planting tips

LIBERTY, NY — Sullivan Renaissance will present a gardening workshop on “Essential Summer Planting and Maintenance Tips” for residents on Wednesday, July 6 at 7 p.m. in Cablevision Center. Sullivan garden tour to end at winery

SULLIVAN COUNTY, NY — The Third Annual Garden Tour of private gardens in Sullivan County, sponsored by SullivanArc and Sullivan Renaissance, will take place on Saturday, July 23. The eight to 10 gardens, located between Liberty and Wurtsboro, are open for visits between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Individuals can follow the route shown on the provided guide map or select their own.
