Three Bronx men arrested for illegal weapon possession
Three Bronx men were arrested for illegal weapon possession by the New York State Police. Kenneth Thomas, 47, Alexander Ramos, 35 and Nathaniel Nesmith, 48, were arrested criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, criminal possession of stolen property in the third degree and criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree. William Blume arrested for burglary in Liberty
On 06/20/11 the Liberty Police arrested William Blume 27 years old of Liberty, for Burglary in the Second Degree a Felony, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fifth Degree and Petit Larceny both Misdemeanors.
It is alleged that Blume entered an apartment at 84 Champlin Avenue and stole a Television and a guitar. Blume was arraigned in Town Court and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail on $10,000.00 bail.
Mitchell Murns arrested for rape in Liberty
On 06/20/11 the Liberty Police arrested Mitchell Murns 20 years old of Liberty for two counts of Rape in the Second Degree a Felony, Sexual Abuse in the Third Degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child both Misdemeanors. Read more
Liberty man arrested on assault charges
On 06/19/11 the Liberty Police were called to a stabbing which had occurred in a boarding house at 428 North Main Street. When Officers arrived at the scene they found the victim Dehaven Daniel a 57 year old tenant of 428 North Main lying on the front porch with a stab wound to the neck. Read more

NARROWSBURG, NY — An exhibit of paintings by local primitive artist Cheryl Korb will come to River Gallery – The Art of Living on Saturday, June 25, opening with an artist’s reception from 6 to 8 p.m. The show will run through August 20.
A self-taught artist from northeastern Pennsylvania, Cheryl Korb still lives on the farm where she was born. After raising a family of three children, she had time to pursue her dream which was to make paintings inspired by Grandma Moses. Cheryl began painting the landscape she knows best: her own backyard.
