Three Bronx men were arrested for illegal weapon possession by the New York State Police. Kenneth Thomas, 47, Alexander Ramos, 35 and Nathaniel Nesmith, 48, were arrested criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, criminal possession of stolen property in the third degree and criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree. On 06/20/11 the Liberty Police arrested William Blume 27 years old of Liberty, for Burglary in the Second Degree a Felony, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fifth Degree and Petit Larceny both Misdemeanors.
It is alleged that Blume entered an apartment at 84 Champlin Avenue and stole a Television and a guitar. Blume was arraigned in Town Court and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail on $10,000.00 bail.
On 06/19/11 the Liberty Police were called to a stabbing which had occurred in a boarding house at 428 North Main Street. When Officers arrived at the scene they found the victim Dehaven Daniel a 57 year old tenant of 428 North Main lying on the front porch with a stab wound to the neck. Read more

NARROWSBURG, NY — An exhibit of paintings by local primitive artist Cheryl Korb will come to River Gallery – The Art of Living on Saturday, June 25, opening with an artist’s reception from 6 to 8 p.m. The show will run through August 20.
A self-taught artist from northeastern Pennsylvania, Cheryl Korb still lives on the farm where she was born. After raising a family of three children, she had time to pursue her dream which was to make paintings inspired by Grandma Moses. Cheryl began painting the landscape she knows best: her own backyard.
