Middletown man arrested for rape and kidnapping
On Sunday, May 1, 2011, the New York State Police at Middletown announced the arrest of Walter W. Hinds Jr., 37, at the Alexander Motel, 139 Berme Road, Port Jervis, NY, for rape 1st degree, a Felony and Kidnapping 2nd Degree, a Class B Felony.
On that day, the New York State Police received a phone call from the Ellenville Regional Hospital regarding a sexual assault. Read more

Naughton sentenced to prison
Joe Naughton, owner of the Western Hotel in Callicoon, was sentenced on April 29 to 16 months to four years in prison for selling alcohol to a minor. Naughton was caught in a police sting on February 26 at liquor store in the hotel when he sold a bottle of wine to an undercover officer. Read more
