Sheriff's Office DEA honored
The Sullivan County Sheriff's Office and the US Drug Enforcement Administration were honored for their recent work on the massive marijuana growing ring that was busted in Sullivan County.
The ring, which is believed to have links to organized crime, is said to have produced at least $20 Million dollars per year in marijuana.
This marijuana grow investigation is already the biggest in New York history and may soon become the biggest in the United States. Read more
Apron Strings: a living history project
Inviting Upper Delaware River community to show & share memories of female family members who influenced you. Submit through 5/31 to Jeffersonville, Callicoon & Narrowsburg libraries at least 2 items: handwritten memory of female in apron/work clothes; an old letter from female; photo of female; & an article of work clothing from female. Collection to be displayed throughout June in Jeffersonville shop windows (Callicoon & Narrowsburg displays TBA).
